This is a guide for how to format/code the different pages on the wiki. The guide will be split into sections and will describe how to format posts for categories and pages that may confuse people.

If you have any questions, ask sonic-nancy-fan

General[]

  • All tables should start out collapsed

Capers[]

  • When writing capers guides, writing them in the source code is often easier
  • When writing caper guides, don't mention decisions that don't make a point difference. It clutters up the page for no good reason
  • Relationship caper titles should be formatted as "'Character name': The 'coming from a location' Adventure"
    • Example: Roland: The Peruvian Adventure
  • Side caper titles should just be the name of the side caper
    • Example: The Zul in New York Adventure
  • Caper pages start off with the quote Sadie originally says on the 'caper card thing' (The image that pop us when you choose a location and it has the caper and a picture of Sadie or one of the guys at the bottom)
    • Example: Just let me get my hands on that sponsor of yours!
  • Each caper than has a heading of where the caper takes place
    • For relationship capers with a Dream route and Friendship route, the Dream and Friendship variations should be split by being sub-heading 1's.
    • Example from Sterling's New Orleans Adventure :
New Orleans
Dream Route
[Adventure with Sterling in New Orleans]
* Skill: +1 Stress
* Skill: +1 Stress
Blah blah blah
Friendship Route
[Adventure with Sterling in New Orleans]
*Skill: +1 Stress
  • The Main Adventure page has all the automatic events. Separate pages are created for Main Adventure capers (ex 1931 Peru: The Main Adventure). Link to the location article at the beginning of that section. Sections that very based on if you are on the dream of family route or not will have separations much like the separation shown above. For this, just look at The Main Adventure page to see what to do.
  • Capers all have infoboxes. Relationship capers will have a bit more information in them than side capers, but they use the same infobox, just don't fill in information that isn't there.
    • If you want to add it manually, the infobox code can be added by putting the following code at the top of the page
Caper Infobox
  • Caper sections (ex [Adventure with Roland in Egypt]) should be sub-heading 2's (so they work well whenever there is a friendship route on the same page)

If I can think of an actual way to explain how to code the capers, I will add it later. For now, just try your best and look at other completed pages for guidance.

Characters[]

Most of the information on the characters pages can be figured out just by looking at a main character's page, so reference other pages that already exist for help.

Character pages follow should follow this format:

  • Quote from character (character image should be added immediately after the quote)
  • Character Infobox
  • Character description (see Roland's page)
  • Journal Entry (if applicable)
  • Dream Entry (if applicable)
  • Capers
    • Locations should be bolded and a bullet list of capers involving that character that take place in that location should be listed in alphabetical order
    • If a character appears in the caper but does not get any relationship points, then '(appearance)' should be put beside the caper
    • Example in code from Felix's page:
*The Main Adventure (appearance)
* Felix: The Main Adventure
New York
*The Book from the Low Countries Adventure
*The Evelyn Adventure (appearance)
*Felix: The Egyptian Adventure
*The Third Eye Gang Adventure
  • Trivia (if applicable)
  • Inspirations (if applicable)
    • Example of character inspirations in code from Felix's page:

  • Gallery (if applicable)
    • Main characters have separate gallery pages due to how many images they have
  • If a new character page is created, add the character to the 'Characters' page

Locations[]

  • Each location page should start with a quote form Sadie talking about that location
  • After the quote, the image of the location with icons should be added, then the image without icons and the background image should be added to the bottom in a gallery (look at New York for reference)
  • List each inner-location in a heading in alphabetical order
    • Add the different activities that can happen at that inner-location
*Play Poker
**Expand Poker
**Expand Empathy
*Try to Explain the Roland Situation to Anna

**Deception Inspirations
*Retranslate the Egyptian Book of the Dead
**Occult Lore Inspirations
**Language Inspirations
**Cryptography Inspirations
  • Add when the activities are available. If they are available from the start, put '[from the start]'. If a caper is available on a certain day, put the day 'EX [July 1, morning]'. Sometimes, the first activity may be from the start, the second will start on a certain date or after a certain caper has been viewed, and the third will be from the start again. If so, just put [from the start], list the activities, EX [July 21, morning ], list the activities, and then [from the start] again.
[from the start]

  • Each inner-location (not all of New York) will have an image that represents it that should be added to the title of the inner-location
Australia Hotel
  • Relationship capers should be added to the locations

Skill Pages[]

  • Skill pages should start with an image of the skill
  • The inner-skills are then listen in order of appearance in the game. The inner-skills each list all of the 'inspirations' that they can have and are shown withing a table.
    • An example of a skill inspiration table in code from the Athletics page:

1931 Achievements[]

  • The achievements page already has all achievements listed, but the table format is Achievement Image-Achievement Title-Achievement Description
  • Individual achievements may deserve their own page. If so, create one titled the name of the achievement and link it to the title of the achievement on the main achievement page
  • Individual achievement pages will have a basic table of information (taken from the main achievement page) and a description of how to get the achievement
style="text-align: center; " | Babysitter

Completed every Adventure with Johnny
The 'Babysitter' achievement is gotten from going on all capers involving Johnny McMurray.
  • This table will then be followed by a heading saying 'Capers Needed to Get Achievement' or whatever is required
  • If there are multiple capers that need to be completed in one play through, say so
    • Example from the Babysitter page: All capers must be completed in one play through to count (2 total)
  • List all of the capers needed to get the achievement in the same format as with character pages

1931 Endings[]

  • Endings should be listed in headings that have collapsed descriptions. The 'un-collapse' button should describe what will be viewed (ex 'View Dream of Family Endings')
    • The code for this is (copy and change text):
<div class="mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" data-expandtext="
View Dream of Family Endings">
Insert information/endings here
</div>
  • Endings should start with the ending picture and have the different possible endings listed below
  • Each ending will be listed under whatever point value will get you that ending
    • The code for this is (copy and remove the '100 example' and 'Not 100 example'):
100 example
<div style="text-align: center"><font size="6">100</font></div>
Not 100 example
<div style="text-align: center"><font size="6">80-89</font></div>

1931 Inspirations[]

  • The Inspiration page currently has all inspirations listed and would be too confusing to explain. Honestly, try not to touch it as editing it makes odd spaces appear in the tables.
  • IMPORTANT: If you do need to edit it, edit it using the 'Classic Editor' as using the other editor frequently crashes the wiki.

1931 Newspapers[]

  • If a new slot needs to be made, just add a new row to the column
  • Side caper newspapers are listed in alphabetical order
  • Relationship capers are listed in order of when they occur (holidays are separate)
  • Newspapers should be about 350x217. Make the first number 350, and leave the other as is.
  • Center all newspapers
  • Add the caper that the newspaper is from to the newspaper description, or add some form of description for it if it's a weird newspaper (ex The multiple Sterling Christmas newspapers)
